Does bandwidth sharing start automatically?
No. You read the explanation and explicitly opt in during app setup. Sharing is required for free VPN access, and you can opt out at any time.
Does a VPN hide everything I do online?
No. A VPN encrypts the connection between your device and its server and changes the IP seen by websites for routed traffic. Websites may still recognise your account, cookies or browser. It does not replace HTTPS or protect you from every scam or unsafe download.
Can I change my location with a VPN?
A VPN can change the IP-based location a website sees by routing traffic through a server elsewhere. Check the Zenshield app for available locations. A VPN does not change your device’s GPS location, and access to a particular website or service is not guaranteed.
Which devices can I use?
Windows and Android are available now, with direct downloads from this website. Android uses an APK. The website’s other platform pages describe forthcoming support; those apps are not available yet.
Why does this website still show an IP address when I use a VPN?
Every internet connection uses an IP address. If your traffic goes through a VPN, a website normally sees the VPN server’s public IP. The bar shows the connection visible to this website; it cannot confirm whether your whole device is protected.
How do I get help or stop sharing?
The help centre covers installation, connection problems and how to stop bandwidth sharing. You can also contact the team. Opting out of sharing means you no longer meet the requirement for free VPN access.
