Zenshield VPN is a project owned and operated by Geonode Pte. Ltd., a company registered in Singapore.

This Bandwidth Sharing Policy explains how Zenshield VPN, a service developed and owned by Geonode Pte. Ltd., uses a portion of your internet connection when you use our free VPN service. By installing, accessing, or using Zenshield VPN, you agree to the terms of this Policy and consent to the use of your internet connection in the manner described below.

Purpose of Bandwidth Sharing

Zenshield is a Geonode product and operates under Geonode Pte. Ltd.

Zenshield provides a free VPN service in exchange for your participation in our bandwidth sharing network.

When you use Zenshield, your internet connection and IP address may be used for legitimate, lawful, and controlled business activities, which may include:

  • Web scraping of publicly available data
  • Price and availability monitoring
  • SEO and advertisement verification
  • Market research and competitive analysis
  • Travel fare and inventory research
  • Website performance testing
  • Fraud-prevention and security validation
  • Other lawful network activities requiring diverse residential IP addresses

All activity is carefully controlled and must comply with applicable laws, security standards, and industry best practices.

What Zenshield VPN Does Not Access

Zenshield, operated by Geonode Pte. Ltd., never accesses or collects:

  • Your personal browsing history
  • Your DNS queries
  • Your local files, photos, messages, or device content
  • Your personal communications
  • Sensitive personal information
  • The content or purpose of your internet use outside the VPN

We only use:

  • Your external IP address
  • A limited portion of your device’s idle bandwidth
  • Basic technical information needed for network integrity and abuse prevention

Your private data remains fully protected. No third party receives access to your device.

How Bandwidth Sharing Works

When Zenshield VPN is active:

  • A small part of your unused internet bandwidth may be used
  • Only secure, encrypted, and filtered traffic is routed
  • Your device is never used for harmful or illegal activities
  • You may stop participation at any time by disabling or uninstalling the VPN

To maintain safety:

  • Zenshield uses automated systems to block prohibited or harmful traffic
  • All external traffic routed through your connection is fully anonymized
  • We apply strict compliance controls for all partners and use cases

User Eligibility and Responsibilities

By using Zenshield you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old (or legal age of majority in your region)
  • You are authorized to use the internet connection you share
  • Your ISP or network owner does not forbid bandwidth sharing
  • You will not misuse, tamper with, or interfere with Zenshield's operations
  • You will comply with all applicable laws

You remain responsible for ensuring that participation is permitted under your local laws and network agreements.

Types of Traffic Routed Through Your IP

Your connection will never be used for:

  • Spam, email sending, or bulk messaging
  • Hacking, port scanning, or malware distribution
  • Abuse, harassment, or illegal content
  • Activities that violate platform or service T&Cs
  • Any activity that could cause harm or legal exposure

Zenshield's infrastructure is designed to strictly enforce this. These restrictions are enforced through Geonode's network security infrastructure.

Opt-Out and Termination

Participation in bandwidth sharing is required for the free version of Zenshield.

If you wish to stop sharing your bandwidth:

  • Disable Zenshield VPN, or
  • Uninstall the application

Once disabled or uninstalled, your device and IP address are immediately removed from the Zenshield bandwidth sharing network.

Security Measures

Zenshield uses:

  • End-to-end encryption
  • Secure routing protocols
  • Zero-knowledge browsing architecture
  • Automated abuse prevention
  • Strict internal access controls
  • Industry-standard security practices

While no system can guarantee absolute security, Zenshield continuously works to mitigate technical risks.

Extraordinary Circumstances

Zenshield may disclose minimal information only if required to:

  • Comply with a legal obligation, regulation, subpoena, or court order
  • Detect or prevent fraud, security threats, or network abuse
  • Enforce our Terms, Privacy Policy, or this Bandwidth Sharing Policy
  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of Geonode, Zenshield, their partners, users, or the public

We never sell personal data, IP information, or device details.

Changes to This Policy

Zenshield may update this Bandwidth Sharing Policy at any time. The "Last Updated" date indicates the most recent changes. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes acceptance.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Zenshield and Geonode Pte. Ltd. are not responsible for third-party traffic routed through your connection, as all such traffic is encrypted, filtered, and cannot be attributed to you.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Geonode Pte. Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of Zenshield VPN.
